One of the main functions of a Synagogue is to organise religious services. Glasgow Reform Synagogue holds services every Shabbat (evening and morning) and for all the major festivals.
The Synagogue also assists members with their various life cycle events: we have our own Mohel (a member of the Association of Reform & Liberal Mohalim), organise bar/batmitzvah ceremonies (for boys and girls who have turned 13), weddings and burials or cremations for members of the Synagogue.
Friday night services commence at 6:30 pm; Saturday morning at 11:00 am.
In the past our services have been broadcast live over the internet (audio only). We are hoping to get this up and running again soon.
No live broadcast today? Try some broadcasts from other Reform Synagogues until we’re back on-air.
Glasgow Reform Synagogue follows Reform practices with regard to its attitude to worship: families sit together, women participate in services and a significant proportion of our prayers, from the RSGB prayerbooks, are read in English
