Zev will be showing a short film about his family history that starts with his great-grandfather who came from Ukraine (then part of the Austrian Hungarian Empire) and ended up an Orthodox Rabbi and bootlegger in San Francisco. The story involves pogroms, his uncle who fought in WW2, his father who fought in the Israeli War of Independence and more. The film is named “Distant Trains”!
