GRS Response to Coronavirus

For 11 days now GRS has not held services and has cancelled all face to face meetings and events; this is now going to continue for at least another 12 weeks, but it is really important that we look after each other during this time. Although we can’t all get together in person, we can talk to each other and offer practical support. Over the next week we hope to contact every member to see what would be helpful for them. We have also set aside a generous fund to enable us to offer packages of food for members who are unable to shop or cook.

There are many ways in which community can function and we will be alongside our members throughout this difficult and unprecedented time. Please be aware that we can tap into other Reform communities, as well as our student Rabbis, who will be streaming prayers and services. We also hope to have our own ability to stream services sometime over the next week or two. These will be services where the attendees are online.

The Movement for Reform Judaism has set up a new area on their website which we hope will help you continue to access vibrant Reform Judaism; you can find it here. It is being updated and expanded constantly and includes links to online educational sessions & accessing streamed services.

We will be accessing our emails throughout the weeks to come, so please contact us at shul@grs.co.uk if you feel we can be of help.
