Philip Rodney was the guest speaker at this month’s Monday Lunch Club on 1 April, offering a talk with the tantalising title ‘Bob Dylan: the Greatest Jewish Poet’. He gave us all a handout containing the lyrics of eight Dylan songs and then played them (not in their entirety!), with an explanation of why he had chosen them, interspersed with a brief history of Bob Dylan and why Philip thought Dylan was the greatest Jewish poet ever!
The luncheon ended with a vote of thanks and the presentation of a gift to Philip by Cecily Smith.
