Cheder activities in May

The Cheder has been very busy over the past month with arts and crafts activities.

For Lag BaOmer, our Cheder children learned of the holiday traditions, and we created small bonfire sculptures to demonstrate one of the holiday main customs.

For Shavuot, our Cheder children learned about the origins of the holiday. We spoke of “Ma’amad Har Sinai” and why we eat dairy products during this time. We also looked at Shavuot’s other names in Hebrew, such as Chag Habikurim, and we created special Shavuot baskets, known in Hebrew as “Tene” טנא.
